Beechcroft Care Homes in Torbay

Visit one of our four care homes in Torbay and you'll see why we live by the motto, 'Your Family, Our Family'. For more than 20 years, we've worked hard to build caring communities where everyone feels valued and residents feel truly at home.

You'll see it in our location. All our care homes are close to leafy Cary Park – and minutes from Babbacombe Downs, St Marychurch and the iconic cliff railway at Oddicombe Beach. For residents and their loved ones, a tranquil escape or day of adventure is only a moment away.

Activities 2 - Beechcroft Care Homes

Our Care

You'll see it in the details. The thoughtful touches, like numbered bedroom doors with mock letterboxes at Cary Lodge. And the wide range of activities, including regular outings, themed days, games and gardening sessions.

But most of all, you'll feel it in the way we treat everyone with warmth, compassion and the respect they deserve. All our residents receive specialised, sensitive care. And their families are welcomed into our family, with regular updates and the freedom to visit whenever they choose. There are no set visiting hours at any of our care homes in Torbay.

We are dedicated to providing tailored support for a wide spectrum of care needs. That includes dementia, mental health conditions, sensory impairments, physical disabilities and eating disorders. We also offer flexible respite care to suit your schedule. Beechcroft is here to support you – any time, any day of the week.

A Message from The Owners

“With many years of experience across both the care and hospitality sectors, we opened our first care home – Beechcroft - in November 2005.

“We put five core values at the heart of everything we do – family, care, love, fun and life. As we’ve expanded to now operate a total of four homes, all in the beautiful leafy Cary Park in Babbacombe,  we’ve worked hard to retain these values throughout each home.

“As a result we believe our residents and their families benefit from the most enjoyable stay and quality of life that they can at a Beechcroft care home.”

David and Julia Gow-Smith, co-owners, Beechcroft Care Homes

Activities & Meals

At our care homes, meals and activities are just as important as the care we provide. Not only are they essential for physical and mental well-being, but they also help residents foster new friendships and find joy in each new day.

Meals are all about quality time and high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. Residents enjoy nutritious, freshly prepared food tailored to their unique preferences and dietary needs. And while they're encouraged to eat, laugh and have fun together, they're free to dine in their rooms if preferred.

Activities are ever-changing and always engaging. Residents at all our care homes in Torbay can take part in weekly dances and singalongs, as well as Bingo games, painting classes and quizzes. We also run tailored activity plans for those with unique interests.

Throughout the year, we celebrate special occasions together with exciting themed activities. These include Easter bonnet making, beach and ice-cream days and a visit from Father Christmas in his handmade sleigh.

The locations of the beside images are Tessier Gardens and Cary Park, both of which are local to us here in Babbacombe.
