A grand villa that feels like a family home.

Beechcroft Care Home

Beechcroft Care Home is the largest of our four homes, yet it's as warm and welcoming as a family lounge. Originally a Victorian gentleman's villa, the home has been tastefully updated to create a homely, modern and safe environment for our residents. It's a grand building that retains much of its historic character. But for our residents and their families, it feels like home.

Residents also enjoy a fully accessible, south-facing garden and terrace. It's a true suburban sanctuary – an oasis of calm contemplation overlooking the lush greenery of Cary Park.

Beechcroft Care Home proudly holds a 'Good' rating with the CQC. Its highly trained staff can cater to a wide range of care needs, including:

• Caring for adults over 65 years

• Dementia

• Eating disorders

• Mental health conditions

• Physical disabilities

• Sensory impairments

Communal Spaces

At the heart of Beechcroft Care Home is the south-facing conservatory. Bathed in natural light and seamlessly connected to our accessible terrace, it's a warm, bright and inviting space that's often busy with happy conversation.

Residents and their families can also spend time in our lounge, where there's room for everyone to chat, relax and have fun. It's a space for comfort and connection, whether that means catching a film, catching up over a cuppa or joining one of our engaging activities.

The Garden

We know the importance of spending time outside for residents' well-being. That's why we make sure the warmth and peace of the outdoors are only a moment away. Beechcroft Care Home boasts a fully accessible terrace, complete with ample seating and soft artificial grass. Here, residents can relax in the sunshine, chat with friends or enjoy splendid views over the south-facing garden. And with ramps leading down to the garden, they can – with assistance – explore its beautifully landscaped paths and flower beds.

Testimonials

  Very Efficient Home

“The Manager – Joan runs a very efficient home with staff who are the kindest, most patient and caring I have ever seen. My father was never left alone at any time day or night and each time my mother and I went home after being with him we felt totally confident he was in the most caring hands”.

Carers are friendly and highly motivated

My mother has been a resident at Beechcroft Care Home for more than two years. She has received consistently good care. The carers are friendly, highly motivated and the team is well-managed. I always feel welcome when I visit and always find her room clean, warm and comfortable. Communications with the home are excellent and I receive regular updates on her ongoing medical condition. They are always happy to facilitate phone calls with Mother. I have every confidence in the continuing care she will receive.

You are all amazing. Thank you.

Mum was taken into emergency care at Beechcroft following the sudden death of my father, her carer, almost two years ago. It took her a couple of months to settle in but the management and staff were extremely patient and helped to put our minds at ease during a difficult time. The carers at Beechcroft are always very welcoming, polite, friendly and helpful; mum seems happy and settled, has made friends, enjoys the food and activities and we take comfort in the knowledge that she is safe and well looked after.

Between visits we speak to the manager and deputy manager regularly for updates on mum and they are always happy to take our calls, answer any questions we may have and keep us well informed of any health concerns or upcoming appointments.

Mum will soon be leaving Beechcroft to come and live with me at home but I would like to thank everyone involved with her care for their hard work and dedication and for making mum's experience a lovely one. You are all amazing. Thank you.

  Care and Compassion and Love

My uncle was a resident of Beechcroft Care Home from March 2020 until he sadly passed away on 30th January 2022. During this time and throughout the Covid pandemic the owner and staff of Beechcroft were exemplary in their care of him. They looked after him with care and compassion and love. I know he felt part of a family there. In sometimes very difficult circumstances they never failed in their caring and professional attitude to my uncle. I always felt he was safe and secure at Beechcroft which when visiting is difficult (because of Covid and the distance I live from the home) is extremely comforting.

The care he was given was of the highest standard

My father was cared for in Beechcroft for almost 3 years. The care he was given was of the highest standard. He enjoyed every aspect of living at Beechcroft from the food to the entertainment. There are plenty of activities and an exercise session every week. His favourite time was when a Care Dog visited as he always had a dog before living at the care home.

He was returned from hospital for end of life care and even though we couldn’t be with him due to Covid the staff gave him every comfort. The manager gave us regular updates on his condition and showed us every kindness.

I am grateful he was at Beechcroft for his final days as I am sure he felt he was 'home'.
