Choice Care Home
A converted Italianate villa, Choice Care Home provides a warm and welcoming environment for up to 32 residents. For them, it's a sanctuary in the heart of Babbacombe – a peaceful yet stimulating environment that they're happy to call home. This oasis enjoys life-affirming views of All Saints Church and Cary Park and is a stone's throw from the local shops and beach.
Choice Care Home is proud to hold a CQC 'Good' rating. It caters to a mix of care needs, including:

Rooms & Facilities
Choice Care Home is sensitively designed to ensure privacy, comfort and independence for our residents. Each of the 30 bedrooms has an en-suite sink and toilet, with residents also enjoying access to accessible showers and baths. And for extra peace of mind, all rooms are fitted with an integrated nurse call system. Sensor mats and door alarms can also be installed on request.
Accessibility is built-in. Choice Care Home is equipped with lifts, allowing easy access to all first-floor bedrooms and giving residents the freedom to roam as they please.
Communal Areas
Choice Care Home is a charming building that's flush with period features. We've made full use of these when designing our communal lounge, which boasts high ceilings and large bay windows, as well as a cosy fireplace. Residents can also relax or socialise in our bright, modern conservatory, which opens directly onto the dementia-friendly garden. Centrally located between them is the dining room – the heart of the home. Here, residents and guests gather for meals, enjoy snacks and drinks and bask in the warmth of our cosy little community.
The Garden
We're enormously proud of Choice's garden. It represents the highest standard of safe and accessible design, catering especially to those with dementia. That's why you'll see easy-to-navigate, level paths and swathes of artificial grass. It's all there to ensure that residents can enjoy the outdoors in their own time and on their own terms. It's a safe, serene and happy place that's designed to gently stimulate the senses. There's the trickle of a water fountain. The raised planters, with their tactile, touchable plants. And the garden shed, surrounded by lush shrubs and vivid greenery. Bliss.
