Meet Apryll

Hello, my name is Apryll Staton, and I am 38 years of age. I started my interest in health and social care whilst at school studying as a GCSE. I pursued my studies at college, achieving Level 2 and 3 qualifications. Since starting my career in Care homes back in 2008, I've progressed through various roles, including carer, team leader, head of care, deputy manager, and registered manager. I have achieved various levels of qualification in NVQ in Health and Social Care including level 5 NVQ in Leadership to management in Health and Social Care.

In 2025, I joined Beechcroft Care Homes as a senior care assistant, stepping in as interim care manager for Southbourne in March 2026. I was drawn to Beechcroft Care Homes because of their family-friendly approach to residents, and I’ve been consistently impressed with the care provided here.

I find working in care to be one of the most rewarding professions, as even the smallest gestures can significantly enhance someone's quality of life. I treat residents as I would want my loved ones to be treated—openly, honestly, and with kindness, believing that compassion costs nothing. I thrive in a collaborative environment with like-minded individuals who deeply care about our residents.

Outside of work, I cherish family time with my son and soon-to-be husband, enjoying walks and gaming together. I also love to unwind with a good series or a captivating book, always looking for ways to balance work and personal life.

Meet Megan

Hello, my name is Megan Clarke, and I am 26 years of age. With a passion for caregiving that began in 2018, I have dedicated my career to enhancing others' lives. My journey in health and social care started with my studies at school and has progressed to an NVQ Level 3 qualification. Since joining Beechcroft Care Homes in 2020, during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, I was able to demonstrate resilience and commitment to my role.

I have progressed from a care assistant to senior staff and am currently the deputy manager at Southbourne Care Home. I thrive on improving residents' quality of life, focusing on building strong relationships with both residents and their families. Supporting my team to achieve these goals is a priority for me.

Outside of work, I recently purchased my first home with my partner, and I enjoy dedicating my spare time to home improvement projects. Travel is also a passion of mine; I love exploring new destinations through holidays and city breaks. Quality time with family, both mine and my partner's, is essential to me, as I believe in fostering strong connections with loved ones.
